Horse Riding & Pony Trekking at Rookin House

Horse Riding at Rookin House has been the best way to see the area for years. Established over 25 years ago our family have a great knowledge of the local area the best view points. Our Pony Trekking and Riding lessons ensure we cater for all of your requirements.

With a herd of over 45 wonderful Horses and Ponies we are guaranteed to have the perfect equine partner for your adventure. From Welsh Section A to Clydesdales and everything in-between.

There are a wide range of options to suit all abilities. Pony Trekking through the Lake District National Park starts with 1 hour, up to a full day and both private and group rides are available so we can cater to all your needs.

Rookin House also offers private rides and riding lessons in a range of equestrian disciplines. The 46m x 30m indoor school with a waxed coated surface enables Rookin House to offer competitions and demonstrations throughout the year. We are a Pony Club approved riding school and we run Pony Club every week.

A schedule of events can be found in the horse arena hire and events section of this website. Training days for Pony Club  tests will be available as well as own a pony days and birthday pony parties.
