Claire can usually be found in the arena, her natural talent for teaching makes her the perfect instructor for both complete beginners and those looking to add some finesse to their already established skill sets. With countless hours in the saddle she also makes an amazing Trek Leader.

Rachel Simmons
Rachel has been at the heart of Rookin House since the day she was born! 3rd Generation of the Hogg family, it’s safe to say no one knows the horses better than Rachel does!
Rachel is what us equestrians would call a perfect all-rounder, she has an affinity for teaching people to ride and an amazing way with the horses! Rachel runs RDA sessions, both group and private lessons and also hits the trails with our Trekking ponies too!

Eleanor Simpson
Eleanor started her Rookin House Career as a Saturday girl and has worked her way up through the ranks and is now our main Trek Leader. With so many years under her belt, Eleanor is our savior when we need to access her internal pony database! There’s nothing she doesn’t know about our herd of horses, make sure you quiz her while you’re out riding!
Favorite horse : Difficult to pick one so, Red, Danny (pictured right) and Buster.

Amy Wright
Amy is our resident Pony Club extraordinaire! Amy has been here since she was a kid, and now runs the Pony Club and Ladies Club! Amy knows all of our trails off by heart and has an amazing teaching style which accommodates both adults and children perfectly. She also finds the time to do a wonderful job of representing Rookin House Equestrian Team out at shows with her daughter Matilda.
Favorite horse : Texas but Reggie is a close 2nd!

THE BOSS! Deb is yard manager and the beating heart of Rookin House. She’s usually found in the office but occasionally ventures out on the advanced or evening rides! She will be out and about this year flying the Rookin Flag at various shows and competitions!
