ALL ACTIVITIES CONTAIN AN ELEMENT OF RISK. YOU PARTICIPATE AT YOUR OWN RISK. IN ORDER TO MINIMISE THE RISK THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE WITH THE ACTIVITY, WITHOUT A REFUND.

Air Rifle Shooting.

 

 

  • No one must pick up any of the guns unless told to do so.
  • No one is allowed to shoot if they appear to have been consuming alcohol/drugs/medication.
  • You must not be prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition by virtue of the of ‘Section 21 of the firearms act 1968’.
  • Always assume your Air Rifle is loaded and never point it at anywhere other than the recognised shooting area. Never ever point the Air Rifle at another person.
  • Always know where the muzzle of your Air Rifle is pointing and NEVER point it in an unsafe direction. 
  • Whenever you shoot you must think about where the pellet is going to end up BEFORE you PULL the trigger.
  • The pellets can ricochet. Safety Glasses (which are provided) must be worn at all times whilst participants and spectators are in the rifle shooting room. 
  • The pellets are lead so always wash your hands after the session.
  • The instructor will remove any Person(s) acting irresponsibly from the shooting party.
  • I am physically and medically fit. I will act in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

Archery.

 

  • No person is allowed to load or fire the Bow unless the Instructor is present and has given the instruction to Load and Fire.
  • No person is allowed to load the Bow pointing anywhere but at the targets.
  • No person must point a loaded Bow anywhere except towards the targets.
  • No person must dry-fire a Bow (pull back the string and release) at any point. 
  • All archers are to approach the target at a walk and from the left hand side, when instructed too.
  • Children are not allowed to pull out their arrows. Adults may pull out their arrows after being instructed to do and understand the instructions which are; Place one hand on the base of the target, Check no one is standing behind you, Place your other hand on the arrow as close to the target as possible, Then pull the arrow from the direction it went in.
  • All Archers and Spectators must be just behind the firing line (cones) before loading or firing any arrows.
  • All Archers must stop IMMEDIATELY if anyone shouts the word ‘FAST’.

Argo Cat. 

Please note, this activity by its nature is not suitable for those with neck and back problems.

  • Passengers in the back must hold onto the grab-rails and the front seat passenger is to face forwards for the trip duration.
  • Children must not be sat on the back seats behind the front seat rail as they could bang their head or could get squashed between the rail and the people sat next to them.
  • Any passengers that are prohibiting safe operation of the Argo Cat will be removed and have to walk back to reception. If you are responsible for a minor onboard they will also have to be removed.
  • All passengers must remain seated at all times.
  • Do not attempt to leave the vehicle until it has completely stopped and you are instructed to do so. 
  • All Children under the age of 6 must be supervised by a responsible adult. 
  • I understand that some people especially small children may find this activity to noisy or bumpy and i have agreed to take part understanding that. If i or my child/children do not wish do not wish to continue we will inform our instructor by tapping him/her on the shoulder and when instructed, get out of the argo-cat.
  • I understand that it is my duty to inform the instructor BEFORE commencing if i do not understand the instructions given and ask for clarification.
  • I will act in a safe and responsible manner. 

Clay Pigeon Shooting. 

  • No one is allowed to shoot that appears to have been consuming alcohol/drugs/medication.
  • You must not be prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition by virtue of ‘section 21 of the firearms act 1968.’
  • I understand that the guns are not toys are lethal weapons. There should be no misuse, and the equipment and instructor are to be treated with respect. I will follow all instructions given.
  • I understand that it is my duty to inform the instructor BEFORE commencing if I do not understand the instructions given and ask for clarification.
  • The instructor will remove any person(s) acting irresponsibly from the shooting party.
  • I am physically and medically fit. I will act in a safe and responsible manner. 
  • I understand and accept the adherent risk of a shoulder injury, which would include bruising when firing the gun due to the recoil action on the gun.
  • I understand the importance of:
    – always keeping the gun broken when outside of the safety cage.
    – Always assume a gun is loaded and never point it at anywhere other than the recognised shooting area. Never ever point it at anyone.
  • I will not pick up any of the guns unless instructed to do so.
  • I will wear ear defenders (standard CE0086/EN 352 1:93) whilst the session is in progress I understand that when a shot gun is fired it makes a loud noise, which could cause damage to hearing if ear defenders were not worn.

Assault Course.

  • Basic Requirements;
    ‘I am physically and medically fit and I will act in a safe and responsible manner.’
    ‘I understand that I am able to stop or miss out any of the obstacles if I wish to do so.’
    ‘I understand that injury could occur and I participate at my own risk,’
    ‘I will wear the Helmet provided.’
    ‘I understand that it is my duty to inform the instructor BEFORE commencing if i do not understand and instructions given and ask for clarification.’
